Okay, here's my opinion on this:

At first I was kinda pissed because you seemed to pretty much want to waste still potentially good RPs (I'm basically saying Souls Collide and Warp Brigade) unless someone was willing to fight you for it. Well, I wasn't going to fight you for it or try to follow through cause...Well, I didn't feel it was really worth it. To be honest, I was kinda just getting a little annoyed about how this was going, everything was rushing and suddenly the sites being revamped and all this stuff.

But now that I've spent some time with my brother and did some stuff and had some rest, I can honestly say I could deal if you revamped the site, as long as you keep said RPs, such as Souls Collide and Warp Brigade. I could deal with any changes as long as the people I like here don't go away. So basically, as long as most of the people here don't care, I'd say go for it, I suppose.

As for the new RP, I would check out the premise, the story, see who joins, then think about joining. If the execution is right, it might just be pretty damn good.

EDIT: Also, I agree kinda it feels forced, but I don't really want to put emphasis on it, cause I don't really mind it per say.

I REALLY don't wanna spoil too much, but I'll post a general overview of my story...
 SPOILER ALERT




















Like I said before, the RP takes place in the country of Solin, in the capital city of Rima

At first, everything is fine and dandy and peaceful.
BUT.



Something falls into the bay... And that something eventually causes a mutant outbreak. Fighting starts.


Eventually the Solinians stop the outbreak, and a festival is thrown to celebrate. Another period of peace begins.


Eventually a MASSIVE convention is held that's sort of a cross between E3 and Comic-Con. However, a dimensional rip suddenly opens up at the convention leading to the demon world of Necrosis. Demons invade Solin led by a demon general, and a war against the demons breaks out. Not all the demons are bad though, and some of them join the humans.


There's some kewl storyline stuff in the demon war I won't mention, but I will say that the humans win and end up allying with the demons. Shortly after that, Necrosis and Solin fuse, creating a sort of new world.

Another period of peace begins.


Though soon a new species makes itself known: the Beast People.

The Beasts start wreaking havoc with guerilla warfare, and the human/demon alliance goes to war with them.

The human/demon alliance eventually triumphs, despite major losses, and they enslave the beast people. Shortly afterwards the higher-ups in the human/demon alliance start to grow power-hungry, and discontent begins to spread amongst some of the other humans/demons. Said people also hate how the Beast people are treated, and they form a sort of rebel group, intending to set the Beasts free and overthrow the human/demon alliance..

a Rebellion begins, and the rebels eventually manage to beat the still-weakened human/demon alliance (they were still recovering from the war against the beasts) with lotsa guerilla tactics. The rebels take control, and forge a new Human/Demon/Beast alliance. True peace reigns, and my story pretty much ends.

As you can see, there's several downtimes of peace where you can just freely RP and stuff.


Also, the only part of my story that has a LOT of intricacy and specific events is the whole war against the demons. The other parts are just sort of frames where people can fit their own events and stuffs into the war against the mutants/war against the beasts/the rebellion/the downtimes of peace/etc.

well i know the story doesnt ooze of 100% brand new never been seen before. but for me ive always been in an RP where its demonic verlord takes control and giant monster/s appear. so with the whole armys and different sides it seems a lot different then the other RPs ive been in

Floyd: I actually can't come up with anything major, except that interactions of ours don't last very long. I can't tell if that's my fault or yours, but I hope it could become fixed to where we could actually do some worthwhile and more lengthy RPing together.

I've brought this up in other topics. I don't want to point any fingers but it seems to me that your characters are usually the ones ending the interactions. Whether that's because I'm sucking at the RP or you're just uninterested is beyond me, though.

Anyway, onto the new RP....

I'm more on the fence about joining now, if I understand a few things right.

As the story progresses though, more and more possibilities will open up. Your normal humans will start to learn new things. Possibilities include demonic powers, among other things.

This is basically what's gotten me interested in this.... but on the other hand, I can't help but feel that the story is one tradgedy/war/tc. cobbled together with the next one...

It's as I've said before... My story is a sort of frame, where others can fit in their own little plots and storylines. Most of the frame of my story is some sort of battle, followed by a time of peace, followed by some sort of other battle, followed by more peace, etc.

We're either always at war, or in a brief time of peace. Or somewhere in between. Not really much else happens.


My story is a very broad sort of thing that's always happening. All the little things that happen in various places at various times have yet to be filled in by other users with their plots and stories and stuff. I'm basically providing a backdrop where you can RP freely and develop your own story.


There ARE portions of my story where it's much more fleshed out and developed, like part 3, that don't provide as much freedom to other users to write in their stories, but for the most part it's wide open. ^_^

That's... a gross oversimplification of the real world there.

But that aside, I was meaning more that, at least from the summary I read, it doesn't seem like any of the events are really connected (unless you have ideas for them, in which case none of this matters) and that they're just sort of happening.
