Thanks to Brutal Legend I've been listening to them a lot more... They've always been one of my favorites, but I never really realized how perfect their first six albums are. That beats even Pink Floyd's perfect streak... they might be my second favorite band right now.

I didn't realize how much I appreciated Metal till Brutal Legend, since the majority of what I listen to is J-music.

Its given me a totally renewed appreciation of the genre as a whole, not just Sabbath. I listened to fucking Anvil yesterday, that's how crazy its gotten. Also Anvil is an awesome band name...

You got a favorite Sabbath/Ozzy song?
Mine's probably Mr. Crowley. :3

That's in infinitely difficult question you ask.
I imagine the top ten Sabbath songs for me are as follows (in no order)
Snowblind War Pigs Hand of Doom Supernaut Into the Void Lord of This World Solitude Symptoms of the Universe Black Sabbath (probably my favorite) Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
As for Ozzy, I'm much less of a fan... I'd probably agree that Mr. Crowley is his best solo tune, but I won't lie, it doesn't compare to my favorite Sabbath tunes. Ozzy is a good vocalist but he's not the best songwriter, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler were geniuses together when it came to writing. Plus from an instrumental point, his band (save Randy Rhoads) wasn't as talented as Sabbath, and they lacked the "doom" sound that really makes Sabbath for me.

Oh yeah Randy was the shit.
I think the whole reason I love Mr. Crowley so much is because I've got Ozzy's "Tribute" album, which takes songs from two live shows in which Randy played. the "Tribute" version of Mr. Crowley is phenomenal, especially Randy's solo
if I do another Normal Music Battle, I'm gonna try to find the Tribute version of Mr. Crowley as one of my noms. :3

I still prefer Tony to Randy overall... Randy was certainly faster and better "technically", but the tone Tony has is just untouchable.
The Tribute solo is pretty damn good, although I think his live "Suicide Solution" solo on that album is actually better.
