I just can't figure out why people don't like it so much.

I don't dislike it anymore. When it first came out though, it lacked any exclusives I cared about, save MGS4, and the price was just too much. With games like inFamous, MGS4 and Uncharted 2 and the new price drop, I admit its a completely fine system now. I just prefer the 360 over it still, and I don't have the money to spend on one.

Agreed that the 360 is still better, it's just that a lot of people called and still do call it a paperweight or a useless system when it isn't...

A few month's ago I would, and when I look back at its legacy, I'll probably say it was average at best. It had too much of a weak start. It finally got going so I acknowledge it now, but still. And people are stupid as fuck anyway.

It was fine, but definitely not a game i would purchase if I owned a PS3. I'd rather play it at my friend's house and not pay at all. >_>

^ I only played it for like five seconds but yeah, it was one of three sandbox games that wowed me.

It was impressive, but not a standout title for me. The variation in missions was the best thing about it for me. It didn't do anything that made me dislike it, did a few things that made me go "Cool." but never "I love this game, god damn".
EDIT: The decisions were cool too.

Sony just had a bad rep the past couple years. With the PS3's incredi-bad start, and the PSP paling in sales compared to the DS.
I mean they got better and their fine now I think. But it'll take a while for people to forget.
Personally, I just think that their aren't that many outstanding games for it that aren't also on 360. I can think of maybe 2 OS3 exclusives I'd care to play and I'm not going to spend a couple hundred dollars on a couple games. Maybe in the future I'll think about it. But for now their still at the bottom of the Big Three for me.

as others have said, I USED to dislike the PS3. It was more expensive than the other two big consoles, and most of it's good games were also on the 360. What killed it was the lack of good exclusives. 360 had plenty of great exclusives, as did the Wii.
But now that the PS3's library has improved dramatically, it's a respectable system now.
I'll probably get one at some point, mainly for Uncharted 2 and God of War III
